At Jem’s Crown our mission is to promote healthy hair and skin with the use of satin materials.
How Did We Start?
My name is Rebecca Leathers. I am the founder of Jem’s Crown. Growing up with natural type 4c hair, I did not see many women in the media or even in my daily life with my texture of hair. I went on a journey of learning to appreciate my kinky-curly strands and learning how to properly care for them. Now, I would not trade my hair for anything else! I founded Jem’s Crown to promote the healthy hair that we all love!
All of my life I have slept with satin bonnets and satin scarves. I just recently got into satin pillowcases. There are millions of people who incorporate satin items into their night routine, but fail to ensure the same hair protection during the day. Our hair is subject to friction by rubbing against materials such as cotton and polyester that create split ends; dull, dry hair; and staticky hair.
